Brimstone Powder is relatively safe to handle, but there are some precautions you should take. The powder can irritate your eyes, skin, and lungs if you breathe it in. To minimize irritation wear gloves when handling and wash your hands/exposed skin after handling. Dry sulfur powder is safe to handle, but can cause dryness of the skin and mild irritation. If irritation occurs flush skin with gently flowing lukewarm water for 5 minutes. Always wash your hands after using Brimstone powders, especially before eating or smoking.
DO NOT BURN SULFUR INSIDE YOUR HOME. Burning sulfur creates sulfur dioxide. Sulfur dioxide mixed with moisture creates sulfuric acid. Breathing in sulfur dioxide would be very bad.
